As one of the largest investment companies in Asia, timely and right decision making is crucial to support its business growth and strategy formulation in order to provide best support to the clients. Prior to deploying Business Objects BI solutions, users had to request technology department to extract data from the legacy system and must-do type usage. Users could not have different analysis to support their management, unless spending a lot of manual effort to compile the most essential ones and they are often based on stale data.

Project DAISY (Direct Access Information System) grew from a Sales Management Information Systems group initiative with the Information Technology Department at JF Asset Management.

BusinessObjects XI Release 2 was implemented as an analytics tool for Unit Trust Business—allowing business users to access timely information and formulate strategies.

By adopting Business Objects EIM solutions such as Data Integrator, JF Asset Management can easily consolidate the information from various data source and ensure the data quality on those criterion information for their Investment Consultant while performing analysis by themselves.

By deploying Web Intelligence, the integrated query, reporting, and analysis solutions from Business Objects, JF Asset Management can analyze more timely performance data for day-to-day sales management. Users have more flexibility of drawing information out in the format they require without going through Information Technology department. Therefore, sales management strategy can be reviewed and adjusted according to the trends depicting the revenue growth and distribution. In return, client relationship management can be more focused and strengthened.

In addition, through the implementation of advanced analytical tools, business users can create and produce KPI reports so they can be more sensitive to business performance changes as they are closer to the formulation of various analysis and review.
